There has been a clear-out of birds in my area over this day and =
last night. The shorebird count at Sandy Cove's beach is way down. =
There are less warblers everywhere and even the American Robins are =
starting to get restless as they begin to bunch up and move about in =
larger and larger flocks.
    =20
We're entering that time of year when there are less birds but more =
rarities and excitement. The Ipswich Sparrow this afternoon was the =
first fall arrival at the Duncan Reef way stop. When birds round =
Chebucto Head and turn towards the south-eastern coast and then find =
themselves facing powerful south-western winds they stop at Duncan Reef =
and Duncan's Cove for R&R, rather than to fight the wind.
    =20
I've added 19 new photos to my websites, nothing rare, but each bird =
photograph is a challenge and always rewarding when things come together =
and the birds pose in good light, ....and Hans has not messed up his =
camera settings.
