Hi everyone,

I awoke before five this morning to a sound that at first I thought was the honking of a flock of geese, but it didn't sound quite right. Then I wondered if it could be coyotes. (Please understand that my brain was somewhat sleep-addled!) Then I sensibly went back to sleep.

Anyway, it got me wondering. Do migrating geese ever fly at night?

Lots of flickers around Freeport today.

Chris

Chris, yes they sure do. I often hear them moving through, coming or going. Sometimes if the moon is right you can watch a flock (there was a term to describe a flight of geese that my dad used but it escapes me right now) pass in front of the moon and that is super cool!!
