On Sunday 20 September Harold Forsyth and I saw four in adult plumage on the harrowed field immediately northeast of the railroad crossing on Rte. 358 as you travel toward Canning. I have been aware of them for about a week now. This field hosted yesterday a few ring billed gulls, lots of herring gulls, one kumliens iceland gull, and not one greater black backed gull! Today at least two were present. Canard pond yesterday was great for waterfowl! mallards black duck blue wing teal green wing teal american widgeon pintail shoveler and a flock of canada geese landed as we were watching the ducks!
