Catbirds have been moving through this area for about a month. The Black-backed Woodpecker flew from the tall mini forest on the southern shoulder of Duncan's Cove(the water part) and flew towards Duncan's Cove Lake. Warblers and vireos continue to move through this area. They have been easiest to see in the evenings off Sandy Cove or Bald Rock roads, often hawking insects.
