Saturday Sept 5 John Gilhen & I went to Mount Uniacke and area to look for
leps & odes  ( my interests) and amphibians & reptiles ( Johns specialty) .
he was looking for 4 toed and yellow spotted salamander.

 

He is a list of odes and leps :

Leps 

Cabbage white 

Clouded Sulphur ( numerous)

Painted lady

Viceroy

Ringlet ( must be new hatch as they were fresh)

and 1 Common Wood Nymph in good shape but yellow in FW was faded from sun
and almost a creamy white color 

No Skippers to be found 

 

Odes 

Canada Darner

Variable Darner

Zigzag Darner

Subarctic Darner

Shadow darner

Green Striped Darner

Blacktipped darner

Common Green darner

Illinois river Cruiser

Incurvate Emerald 

Meadow hawk of various species
