Hi all
I had not seen Hummingbirds in my yard for a week or more, but I saw 2 imm or./fem.? fighting over the Canna Lily blooms this evening ( Sept. 4) . Thanks Linda Hall for getting me a start with this hummer -friendly flower. Starlings have been hawking aerial insects for quite soemtime around Blue Acres and tonight over my home in Plymouth.
One of the male Purple Finches at my feeder this evening appeared to be growing a tail. It was very short.
cheers
Ken
