This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --Boundary_(ID_qXFoRTPm2VARidu1Kvh3PA) Content-type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT The Eastern Wood-Pewee continues to tend to young off the Saint Margaret's Bay Trail, Jerry Lawrence Provincial Park. They arrive late and stay late. I managed several photos of this hard to photograph bird, and was astonished when enlarging the photos to discover just how hooked their bill(upper mandible) is in comparison to other flycatchers. It's reminiscent of a vireo or shrike. The September orchids are in bloom along Sandy Cove Road, Halifax municipality. I've identified Yellow Ladies'-Tresses Orchid and Nodding Ladies'-Tresses Orchid. The actual individual orchid flower is the size of a push pin. If I've misidentified the orchids corrections won't embarrass me, only educate me. These guys can be hard to sort out. The seals on Duncan Reef are numerous. On one rock there were at least 50! There are a few non nature photos in this set, some architecture from Duncan's Cove and a diverse, nation wise, row of warships departing Halifax harbour. WinZip likes to upload stuff in alphabetical order so keeping photos collated is a separate exercise.
