I had the opportunity to go to Wild Cove (between Louisbourg and Little Lorraine) with Susann Myers on Saturday, August 22nd looking for shorebirds. We spotted 11 Wimbrel, 7 Ruddy Turnstone, 3 Lesser Yellowlegs, a White-rumped sandpiper and a Red Knot. The waters in the cove contained 80 Herring Gulls and 15 Common Eider. Woodsy birds seen that morning included the Boreal Chickadee, Ruby-crownwd Kinglet, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Common Yellowthroat and Solitary Vireo.
