I have been splitting firewood at Harold Forsyth's in Greenwich,
Kings County the last few days and have seen hummingbirds each day.
Today I saw three and they were at jewelweed and wild cucumber. At
home in Port Williams at about six pm today there was a hummingbird
also at jewel weed and wild cucumber. This was the best sighting
because in the twenty one years I have lived here I have seen only
three or four hummingbirds in my yard. I kept a feeder for them for
five years when we first moved here but gave up after not having one
appear. Maybe it is time to get another feeder?
