We lost several trees that night but some of our neighbours lost all of their trees, and I do mean every single one. This was probably due to microbursts, powerful downward super gusts of wind. It was a disaster out here! Check the icons on the National Hurricane Storm Center site, for example by tapping the Trop Storm Wind Speed Probability icon it currently shows a 70% chance of Tropical Storm winds just at the coastline.
