This note was sent by me on August 14 and just arrived today. We should be careful to give exact dates rather than "yesterday" since there seems to be some delay in the posting of some messages.

Bernice Moores, Fulton Lavender and I had 3 young piping plovers with the shorebirds at the Hawk yesterday. We also had several Western Willets, 18 Hudsonian Godwits, several Whimbrel as well as many Semi-Palmated Plovers, Black-bellied Plovers, Semi-palmated Sandpipers, one Red Knot, a few Ruddy Turnstones, lots of Short-billed Dowitchers, Sanderling, and White-rumped Sandpipers.
