Hi there, This isn't strictly a "nature" question, but I've found that good naturalists know their province and its geography better than most, so perhaps someone can help me. An obituary in Wednesday's Chronicle Herald mentioned that a woman from southwestern Nova Scotia, during the 40's or 50's, had "worked as a cook for the lobster fishermen on Cook's Beach and Santalina Island". The name struck me as it doesn't sound like a place in Nova Scotia at all. I checked in the Nova Scotia Atlas, and found that Cook's Beach is near Pinkney's Point, Yarmouth County, but where is Santalina Island? Cheers, Patricia L. Chalmers Halifax
