Index of Subjects Some members of my family went fishing early this morning and caught mackerel and sculpin, and saw two spp. of cetaceans: Blackfish, and Harbor Porpoise. This was close to Wedge Island, Seabright, Halifax RM. The Double-crested Cormorants on Wedge, having killed all of the trees, have fully filled the dead remains with nests, and have begun to colonize the ground nearby. I have evidence that the Bald Eagle preys on the young cormorants, but the eagles are not up to the job of controlling adequately the proliferation of cormorants.
