This morning, while hanging up new suet, I heard the very distinctive song of a Black-billed Cuckoo. It was coming from the regrowing field across the road. I grabbed my iPod/speakers + binos, and called for it from the field...it had moved to the back of the field. I'll wander about there later and see what I can pick up to up the breeding evidence. So, I'm still stuck at 99 birds on my yard list. I know I've actually seen more than 100, though I forgot to record one or two. Maybe a migrant Long-eared will be #100 instead?
