In Halifax injured birds and other wildlife can be brought to the Dartmouth
Veterinary Hospital, 61 Tacoma Dr, 434-0700. They work with Hope for
Wildlife, and so the bird will be treated and then taken to Hope for rehab.

Cheers and good luck, Noel Taussig.

The Spruce Cove Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre in Chester recently closed,
and I don't believe there are any other wildlife rehab centres down that way
- the bird is going to have to commute!

I'm working with Dr. Helene van Doninck at the Cobequid Wildlife
Rehabilitation Centre in Hilden. We'd be happy to take the bird in. If
someone can get it as far as Halifax, I believe I can get someone to drive
it out here.

You or your friend can give us a call at 893-0253 to talk transport or for
advice on what to do with the bird in the meantime.

Subject: [NatureNS] Bird Rescue?

Hello, hello...

I have a friend in dog rescue, yes dog, that has received a sick bird. I've
just heard about it, and I don't have any details as of yet. But is there
someone in the South Shore area that could help?

Thanks so much,

Ann Morrison
Halifax
