This morning about 10, an adult Laughing Gull (presumably the one seen in the area for some days) was resting among Ring-bills on an intertidal spit at the base of Hartlen's Point (about opposite Caddy Road). It was soon joined by a very worn first-cycle bird that appeared to come in from the open sea; it foraged actively for several minutes along the shore, and then flew to the N into the harbour as the tide rose.
