Hi Patrick,
The Parula has a less common (in my experience) song-type which might be
similar to what you are describing (i think on stokes). is the song
"raspy/buzzy" like a parula? sound a bit like the lone ranger theme song?
dum dada dum dada dum dum dum (buzzy and rising in pitch)?
