   It may be a lost racing pigeon (I get them up here in the highlands some=
times). If you can read the code on the band you can track the owner though=
 the Canadian Racing Pigeon Union. They have a list of all the band codes a=
nd contact info for the owner. It could local or from a thousand miles away=
.
