JUNE 11, 2009 - I checked the BALD EAGLE NEST at Noggins Corner Farm,
Greenwich, and was amazed to see how LARGE AND FEATHERED OUT the two
large NESTLINGS/FLEDGLINGS are now. One of the very big fledglings
was flapping its fully feathered huge wings and jumping up and down,
just as if its time for flight was imminent. In my experience here
in the The Valley, normal fledging time is early to mid-July, but
perhaps this is more evidence of the gradual climate change? This
year I did notice that apparent incubation of eggs seemed to be early
this year, despite the long and cold winter and late early Spring.

Also I asked the young lady at the Noggins Farm Market whether the
EAGLE NEST-CAM had been working, and she said it was on for only one
day this week. The site address on the Internet is http://
www.nogginsfarm.ca/ . This nest-cam has a history of being difficult
to access or not working at all, but give it a try and let us know
how it works.

Cheers from Jim in Wolfville
