Yesterday in Smiley's Prov. Park I met a woman from Truro who has
both a male and a female red-bellied woodpecker near her home. I
didn't get her name or address, and she said that she hadn't yet
personally seen the female, but has it on good authority, as we say.
I told her to look for evidence of nesting or later of youngsters at
her feeders, and to report any such info' to the Bird Society.

Cheers from Jim in Wolfville
