A bright male Indigo Bunting was seen briefly high up in the Ash Trees
behind our house this morning, at the same time the Rose-br. Grosbeak
male was singing and eating sunflower seeds at the hanging feeder,
ignoring the presence of 7 people on the deck. A Catbird was also
spotted near the place I've been putting out bread for the Red-bellied
Woodpecker, which hasn't been seen for a week now (hopefully he is off
looking for a mate!). The more time we spend out there, the more
species we see (surprise, surprise!).
