I checked out the farmhouse owned by Cheryl Rutledge at Sangster Bridge =
again last night 26 May. There was a stiff cold wind, sunset was given =
as 8:52 pm.

I arrived at 8:23 and getting out of the car was buzzed by a Humming =
Bird - I found that Cheryl has 4 feeders in a small area and 8 of the =
mobile missiles were very busy. The Sora was calling from the pond but =
fell silent went I set up my scope to look at it.

8:30 - 10 swifts circling high. Red Wing Blackbirds and Grackles =
calling, several Bobolinks singing in the nearby fields. One Bobolink =
posed on the top of a small bush but it was already too dark for good =
photos. 2 Grackles were clearly gathering food for a nearby nest. =
Savannah Sparrows.=20

8:45 - 20 swifts getting noisy and close.

8:50 - 2 Swifts enter. A catbird is making a lot of noise nearby

8:55 - 34 swifts enter in groups

9:00 The last 2 swifts of the original group go in.

9:04 A group of 7 Swifts who must have been doing the night-club circuit =
arrive and enter.
