Non-members are welcome to participate in the following HFN field trip:

Join David Dermott on Sunday May 31st for one of Halifax Field Naturalist's favorite traditions - hiking the Cape Split Trail to see nature's spring beauty. This moderate to difficult 16 km round trip hike will take 5 to 6 hours so bring a lunch. We will meet at the Cape Split trail head at 10:00 AM. Take Hwy 101 to Exit 11, crossing Hwy 1 onto Hwy 358 through Port Williams and Canning to Scots Bay. Then follow the main road to the end (a T-junction), turn left, and follow the road along the coast to the parking lot at the end. Contact Lesley Butters at 422-4855 for further information.
