Bugsters- yesterday John Gilhen ,Joe Purcell and I went to Chester. The
following bugs were observed:

Dreamy Duskywing

Painted Lady

Brown Elfin

Hoary Elfin

Bog Elfin

Eastern Pine Elfin

Tiger Swallowtail seen at Sullivans Pond in Dartmouth

 

Odes

Twin Spotted Spiketail

American Emerald

Beaverpond Baskettail 

Uhlers Sundragon

Somatochlora sp (female) teneral with tea stained wings

Probable hudsonian whiteface at 1.1 in

 

Tiger beetles 

Cicindela 6guttatta

Cicindela longilabris ( aka Boreal Long lipped TB)

 

Birds 

I noticed a very striking bird that caught my eye , all black with orange .
Turned out to be an American Redstart. Thought it was a warbler type bird
and what a voice(song) . I 'm no birder but this bird got my attention J
