Hi all
It was a dark evening tonight, May 15, but I decided to check for swifts again tonight arriving at the Temperance St. school about 8:40. There were a couple of score of swifts flying around and I felt I may have arrived too late. But as time went on, the sound of over-head swifts chattering became more intense and I could tell there were more than the previous night. A couple went in at 8:45, but the main bolus entered 8:55-9:00. They were a little hard to count because of the dark clouds behind the chimney and I may have missed a few. My tally for the night was 287- clearly an influx from yesterday. There was 100% cloud cover, moderate breeze, and 15C. Nice to see these numbers arriving.
cheers
ken
