A female Dickcissel visited us today in Portuguese Cove. She joined the company of a female Baltimore Oriole. This female oriole went through 4 orange halves in about 4 hours, a mighty thirst no doubt created by a lengthy migration leg.

This morning at Jerry Lawrence Provincial Park I found 11 warbler species, a fall back from Monday's tally of 13 species. Many of the newest arrivals are in low numbers, even just one's and two's, and may not actually sing on cue as Hans walks by.
