Hello, I had the chance to observe the Snowy Egret that was reported earlier from the Peggys Cove area. I found it very close to the road oceanside pretty much in the last tidal puddle before the Peggys cove intersection. Coming from Halifax I missed it first as it was to close to the roadside to be visible from the right side of the road. The bird was feeding but became suddenly very alert and skittish. Canada geese and gulls became very vocal at the same time so I guess a predator was nearby. Eventually the egret took off and I relocated to the village. Strange to visit PEggys Cove with no tourists to spoil pictures of the lighthouse. When I left I relocated the egret roosting on a rock a bit further up from the previous location. I was in the area from about 6 to 8. Cheers Ulli
