I visited the Percy's at Granville Ferry this morning, and got lovely looks
at 3 M. Indigo Buntings. One was an imm., and the other 2 were bright adult
males. One or more were singing, but the Percys haven't seen any females to
date.

There was, however, a F. Red-bellied Woodpecker, which is a regular visitor.

There were breeding plumaged Chipping Sparrows, + the usual expected
backyard birds. Everything was very photogenic, particularly the Indigos,
and I will post some examples later.

Then I went over for a very quick visit to the French Basin Trail before I
had to come here to work, , where there were ~100 Bufflehead, 20+
Ring-necked Ducks, and 20+ Yellow-rumped Warblers, as well as the usual G-W
Teal, Geese, Red-winged Blackbirds etc.
