Dear All, Apr 27, 2009 This afternoon I resumed turning a compost windrow, that I had started on yesterday, and found a Robin's egg on top of the unturned pile; stone cold but otherwise undamaged. We have the odd Jay and a Squirrel but am aware of no nearby Robin's nest; the first Robin in the yard having been seen early this morning, right by the compost windrow. Could a Robin be dumb enough to deposit an egg in an unnest and then take off ? Yt, DW, Kentville
