April 25-26/09 Albany New Annapolis County on The Medway River

Four Barn Swallow arrived at about 11:00am on Saturday. Usually, there are many more Swallows but perhaps they got tied up somewhere.

Two very Chatty Kingfishers also arrived on Saturday. All day long they made their presents be known.

One vocal male Flicker also let us know of its arrival to Albany New.

Ring Neck Snake was observed slithering along the edge of the barn.

Red Backed Salamander was observed under a patio stone.

One Mature Eagle soared over the River for close to 3/4 hour on Sunday morning.

An Osprey, dove and caught something in the river. It had a difficult time trying to become airborne.

A few Purple Violets in bloom along the lane way with some very scented Mayflowers.

A Spring Blue Azure and a thick Black and Orange Caterpillar.

Spring has sprung in Albany New!
