On the way to Sackville=2C NB on Saturday=2C there was a turkey vulture=2C =
which went over the 103 between Western Shore and Gold River.

=20

I had a pair of belted kingfishers on the wires at Indian Path.

=20

Osprey are back everywhere. I saw four or five between East LaHave and Ind=
ian Path and today three over Steverman's Lake at Lilydale.

=20

Today at Steverman's Lake at Lilydale=2C my first savannah sparrows for the=
year. There was a group of five in one tree beside the road over the broo=
k. They breed along that area in the summer and at a lot of other location=
s within that square. I must check on the bird atlas data to see if I have=
 them yet.

=20

The Sackville Waterfowl Park in NB was great with three Wilson's snipe=2C a=
hermit thrush=2C northern shovelers=2C gadwall and swamp sparrows. There =
were a lot of other species present also of course.

=20

At the Amherst Point Bird Sanctuary I dropped by briefly. I met a few othe=
rs there also=2C so the birds present might already have been posted. A no=
rthern harrier was coursing over the marsh. The only other birds of note fo=
r me were 10 northern shovelers and a male and female northern pintail. Th=
e bald eagle is on the nest at the usual location=2C still incubating by th=
e looks of it. From roadside there over a 10 minute period I documented 15=
 species.

=20

At the entrance to the Folly Mountain road if coming from NB towards Truro=
=2C there was a broad-winged hawk.
