Salt Marsh Trail, Cole Harbour, NS

Hi All,

I took a wander on the Salt Marsh Trail across Cole Harbour this morning and
noted that bird activity is starting to pick up. The following were noted
between 06:30 and 08:00:

GB Herons - 6 (flying in formation overhead - they landed on the other side
of an island north of the trail at 1st bridge)
DC Cormorants - 8
American Wigeon - 6
Eurasian Wigeon - 1 drake (in company with the AM. Wigeons)
Song Sparrows (lots)
Bald Eagles - 2 (on the nest at 3rd bridge)
G. Yellowlegs - 6
C. Mergansers - 12+
RB Mergansers - 2 (m)
