Hi,

On my way to Middleton this morning I checked a few spots along the Fundy
Shore. The SUMMER TANAGER was present in Morden, and was feeding on insects
in the porch and along the side of the house. It's a breeding plumaged male.
Unfortunately it looks rather sluggish and weak.

Directions - continue along the road past the French Cross in Morden (King's
Co., not Annapolis, - the county line is 8km. west of there), till the
pavement gives way to dirt road. Then, about 2 or 3 houses on the left is a
house set back from the road with a gravel driveway and a metal gate (open).
There are some feeders hanging in the porch, and some oranges on the ground,
but the bird seemed to ignore them. The people weren't there this morning,
but I'm told they wouldn't mind birders.

I took some pictures and will post them when I get back to my own computer
tonight.

Also seen were -

N.Gannets flying W. at Morden, Margaretsville and Port George
Red-Necked and a Horned Grebe in breeding plumage - Port George
Black Scoters - Morden
Surf Scoters - Port George
Harlequin Ducks -- 3 pairs seen at Port George
C.Eider -, small flocks all along that shore
etc.

Richard
