TREE SPARROW, plus at least 3 WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS, are still at my feeders. This afternoon Judy Tufts came to our home to deliver our Blomidon Naturalists Society newsletter, and she heard our FOX SPARROW SINGING next-door, and also heard TWO SINGING CARDINALS, one of them close to home and one more distant -- I almost wrote two MALES, BUT then I recalled that FEMALE CARDINALS are reputed to SING, too, although I don't know their quality or frequency of doing so (thanks, Judy!, for your delivery and for your sensitive ears).
