My orchard and garden both have patches of bare areas, and as a result have revealed a few of the carcasses that I put out during the winter which got covered with snow prior to the eagles and black corvids finishing them. I had no eagles last weekend (I had stopped putting out carcasses), but I've had two so far this weekend. I hope not to have any human visitors for awhile...the receding snow has also revealed a veritable boneyard of skeletons that, to the unprepared, may look somewhat disturbing. At least 22 redpolls still around...otherwise, pretty much the status quo as per other recent "signs of spring" postings.
