Hi Gang

We wad a H. Thrush over winter here in Canso so I knew that they were =
likely a few more that did the same through out the province.

I was very surprized yesterday to here one singing away.=20

I t was not far from the "lucas Road" in Sunnyville near Guysbrough. =
With the 30-40 cm of snow cover in the area this brave bird was eager to =
sing for spring. I had stopped to size up a telephone pole that was very =
well exavated by woodpeckers when I heard it quit close to the road.=20

Most surprizingly was the quality of its song. This bird wasn't holding =
anything back and was on top of it's game with a song as sweet and clear =
as one would expect on an early summer evening! Now I'm not sure if the =
Thrushes are like the Sparrows and need some practice to get tuned up =
before they can hit their stride but I know this one had all its the =
tuning done.=20

Our C-C Sparrow is still with us and seems to of made it through the =
winter just fine. It's starting to change it's looks now into adult =
plumage.
