Hi there, Early this morning I saw something I haven't seen before. A Song Sparrow was repeatedly fluttering up against the rear-view mirror of a car parked on Shirley Street in central Halifax. It was attacking, or at least flying in the face of, its reflection in the mirror. Territorial behaviour, I expect. I've seen Northern Cardinals and American Robins do this, but never Song Sparrows. I saw several small flocks of Common Grackles, which have become more numerous in Halifax in the last couple of days. Patricia L. Chalmers Halifax
