As I watched it I was pleased to see a second nuthatch only a few feet away. While I wasn't able to determine the gender of both birds (one did appear to be a male, which already distinguishes it as new to my yard), I assume they were a pair by their behaviour. They seemed to be checking out the lone Lombardi Poplar on our property. -- Bruce Stevens Maryvale, NS --0016e64c0b6c3ec29104667c108e Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Yesterday around 5:30pm as I pulled in the driveway I got my first glimpse of White-breasted Nuthatch in a month or more.
