The Eurasian Teal I reported before from Canning Abouteau, in a rather abbreviated message from the area, seems to
have some American Green-winged Teal genes - namely a faint vertical crescent like American Green-wing as well as
the longitudinal white scapular stripe typical of Eurasian Teal. This was evident in the field, as Richard Stern and I noted
at the time, and shows nicely in Richard's excellent digiscope shot. It's interesting that the American Green-winged Teal
with it were paired, but the apparent hybrid Eurasian was alone - showing the perils of moral turpitude, even in ducks.
