BlankWe saw a pair of black-headed small gulls in the east marsh behind
Conrad's beach today, but they were too far away for us to distinguish
between Black-headed and Bonaparte's. They were feeding in that sweet spot
where the water flows out of Lawrencetown Lake, visible just before you
enter the woods trail. We also saw about 6 Canada geese and a small flock
of mergansers in the west marsh, and one cormie and about 8 eiders off of
Fox Point. I'm pretty sure at least one of the mergansers was a
red-breasted. Others too far away. I guess we're going to have to invest in
a scope. Heard song sparrows near Dottie's house.

Beautiful day. And the beach is so easy to walk lately, with all the sand
that has washed in this winter. Even getting out to the end of the point
isn't too difficult. I found some especially gorgeous rocks. As usual, too
many barky dogs off leash for this old curmudgeon.
