I checked out Martinique Beach with a friend this afternoon and didn't find
the wheatear, however there were some other nice birds. We flushed two Bald
Eagles who were eating a deer lying just beside the road before the round
about. I wonder how it got there.... 17 Sanderling were feeding on the
mudflats with a couple dozen Bufflehead swimming around them. The best bird
of the day was probably a Glaucous Gull which was flying around on the
opposite side of the beach. I wanted to see if there were some early Ipswich
Sparrows or Piping Plovers, but none were to be seen.
At my Feeders in Jeddore Oyster Pond there are two Fox Sparrows coming
regularly and a couple of Grackles.
