Often at this time of year the pond is at least partly frozen. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvYxzGhya64 We saw some of this on my recent NSBS field trip, but the timing (of the gannets) varies from year to year, so the event wasn't quite as spectacular as in the video. Note the very shallow dives of some of these birds - Ogdens is quite shallow in most places. The dominant fish here is the Atlantic Silverside, *Menidia menidia.* Randy _________________________________ RF Lauff Way in the boonies of Antigonish County, NS. ------=_Part_67779_26433694.1229451970908 Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline
All,

An aquaintance of mine, Lloyd Jewkes, who lives at Ogdens Pond posted a video of the gannets feeding there.
