Hi Everyone;

Don MacNeill and I have been birding HRM these past two days, getting 
a start on our winter list.   Here are some of the highlights:

Dec. 1

Chebucto Head:  Atlantic Puffin (25), Common Murre (30+), Northern 
Gannet (50+), Black-legged Kittiwake, Black Scoter, Red-throated Loon

Duncan's Cove: White-winged Crossbill (12)

Sambro: Glaucous Gull

Herring Cove: Northern Flicker

Hartlen Point: Redhead (in pond before the golf course)

Rainbow Haven: Yellow-rumped Warbler

Three Fathom Harbour: Lark Sparrow (mid-point of the Causeway to 
Fisherman's Preserve); Green-winged Teal (18) in Dottie's Pond.

Sullivan's Pond: American Coot.

Dec. 2

Hartlen Point: Snowy Owl and Rough-legged Hawk (both on Devil's 
Island); American Pipit

Rainbow Haven: Great Blue Heron; Lapland Longspur (12)

Bisset Lake: Ring-necked Duck (7)

Dorothea Drive: Clay-colored Sparrow; Northern Cardinal; 
Orange-crowned Warbler (all near Portland Street)

Hastings Drive: Yellow-breasted Chat

Point Pleasant Park: Hermit Warbler
