--Apple-Mail-3-551956043 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; delsp=yes; format=flowed Hi all, The bird stuck to the tops of trees and was flighty, so I didn't get the greatest looks, but I'll post it anyway in case someone with better eyes or, ideally, a camera, can have a crack at this bird. At 9 this morning it was in the row of pines on the right just after the Shakespeare by the Sea offices, in company with at least one other (unexamined) warbler. I actually first saw the bird late on the 27th, when it was racing between treetops in the same area with a Pine and an Orange-crowned Warbler (likely the same three warblers seen that morning (unidentified) at the junction of Sailor's Way and Prince of Wales Drive). Didn't believe it at that point, though, and couldn't relocate the bird until today. My guess is it's an adult male (in fall plumage). But like I say, not the greatest looks so far. Cheers, Andy Horn Halifax Further notes; plain yellow face (no stripes, rings, or obvious pattern of shading) darkish cap, though seemed to be only toward back of head impression of yellow forehead -- but I didn't get a satisfactory top down view very nervous, stuck to tops of trees overall body shape seemed shorter (less elongated) than usual Dendroica (but could've just been cold) call softly kissy with a little tick or some such quality at the end small, well contained bib (chickadee-ish or smaller) underparts white without streaks or yellow wash (i.e., no yellow vent, as in BTNW) back, when glimpsed, green with blackish stripes as connected dashes wing bars present, and light edges to some of the wing feathers, but this was all seen from underneath --Apple-Mail-3-551956043 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Type: text/html; charset=US-ASCII <html><body style=3D"word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; = -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; ">Hi all, <div><br class=3D"webkit-block-placeholder"></div><div>The bird stuck to = the tops of trees and was flighty, so I didn't get the greatest looks, = but I'll post it anyway in case someone with better eyes or, ideally, a = camera, can have a crack at this bird.
