Today was the start of lobster season for district 34. I went out on board
the Chad and Sisters two to take pictures on setting day. I could not belive
how many Northern Gannets have been in our area. In the harbor yesterday
there must have been about 200. One would dive then they all would follow in
unison. Lots around also today along with
Black Gulliemots, Great Cormorants, Common Murres, Grey Seals, 1 Fin whale
near pond cove. 2 Humpback whlae sightings were spotted by another fisherman
in St. Mary's Bay.
