Hello All,=20
=A0
Unfortunately, I did not see the Painted Bunting again today,=A0before I le=
ft for work at=A09:45am this morning, but I looked & looked out my back win=
dow=A0& hoped and hoped that I could report something positive.
=A0I brushed off the suet feeders=A0and sunflower feeders and filled them a=
ll before I left. I did not see it amongst the White-throats, Juncos, Song =
Sparrows, Starlings, American Goldfinches, Blue jays and one lone Baltimore=
Oriole, that I had not seen before! :o), all=A0very evident, despite the n=
asty weather, at that time.=20
Hope it survived the storm and is hunkered down somewhere,=A0in amongst the=
rambling rose bushes,=A0and did not become a meal for our resident Sharp-s=
hinned Hawk that patrols the neighbourhood (oh well, it has to eat too!)...=
sigh....
A=A0vividly marked bird=A0such as this Painted Bunting, =A0that is, no doub=
t, tired and hungry,=A0would definitely be such a visible target for a smal=
l speedy hawk=A0like the Sharpie. Will think positively, anyway!!
Am very happy a number of folks got to see it anyway.=20
Was wonderful to see & meet you all!!=20
Will look tomorrow morning for, hopefully,=A0a positive sighting and will r=
eport back.
=A0Thanks for all the emails and phone calls. Hope I did not forget any rep=
lies!
Of course, folks are welcome to come by, you'll just have to take your chan=
ces with the kids & dogs who live on these properties. They could be out pl=
aying in the snow!! :o)
=A0
My best
