For the last few weeks, I've noticed a downy woodpecker following a very orderly habit. She shows up just before dark (tonight 4:25) flies to a stump, then disappears in a hole in a nearby tree. Every evening, same stump, same hole in tree. I wonder if other birds are as habitual as this, and if chickadees and the like also spend their nights in holes. Anybody haqve any information on this subject? Billy
