NOV. 11, 2008 - In Canard Pond, among 200+ GREEN-WINGED TEALS and a
few dozens of both MALLARDS and AM. BLACK DUCKS, I found a male
GADWALL (no female with him), a male AM. WIGEON, and 3 male N. PINTAILS.

NOV. 12, 2008 - Two N. CARDINALS at our Wolfville feeders -- a male
and a female (not together).

NOV. 13, 2008 - I flushed 4 N. FLICKERS together that were foraging
on my Wolfville lawn.

NOV. 14, 2008 - At my home feeders, 2 or 2 N. CARDINALS have been
visiting, usually as individuals: a male, an adult female, and a
juvenile female? (whose beak is getting almost pink now.

NOV. 17, 2008 - Today another first at my bird feeders -- a very
frisky and apparently lost YELLOW LABRADOR DOG!! In mid-morning this
same dog chased my car as I was leaving my Wolfville neighborhood.
And then during the noon hour I discovered it not only investigating
my feeders but also actually eating cracked corn from my pheasant
feeder. Thus this dog must have been away from its owner for a
while! (The dog is collared, and now reported to local police.)

Cheers from Jim in Wolfville.
