Hi,

Not quite! Only the Eastern Pacific subspecies of Masked Booby has been
re-classified as Nazca Booby, which apparently differs by having a rosy pink
bill, olive/khaki/purple legs and feet (as well as different mDNA). It
breeds on the Galapagos Islands and nearby. Therefore the Long Island bird
still sounds like a true Masked Booby from Carl's description. Googling
images of both show that there is indeed a significant difference in bill
color, with Masked being pale yellowish. However, it would be nice for Carl
specifically to comment on these features if possible. Masked is more
likely, since it breeds and occurs in the Caribbean and the Dry Tortugas,
and occasionally is seen in winter up the eastern US coast.
