--=====================_30748109==.ALT Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed Hi All; The Nova Scotia Bird Society is auctioning off the nature library of the late Eric Cooke, courtesy of his estate. The auction will take place at the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History on Thursday, 27 November, at 1930 hours. The list of the books available is on the following web site: http://tinyurl.com/nsbsauction The books are all in pretty good shape, but they have not been assessed as if for the antiquarian book trade. If any of you are interested in bidding on any of the books, but will not be able to attend in person, then you may place a bid electronically via myself, the volunteer auctioneer. Simply state the item in which you are interested, and the maximum amount you are willing to pay, and someone will bid on your behalf, in $1.00 increments. Please include your full name and pertinent contact information -- e-mail, phone number, address. Note: the auctioneer will not be bidding on any of the items, so you can send me your bids in confidence. No taxes are payable on any of the items. Anyone who wins an absentee bid will be responsible for paying for any shipping charge. We'll contact you to sort out any details. Other society members have expressed an interest in donating more books to the auction. If you have books you'd like to add to the sale, please forward me the details as soon as possible. Please e-mail me if you have any questions. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Blake Maybank maybank@ns.sympatico.ca 902-852-2077 Editor, "Nova Scotia Birds" author, "Birding Sites of Nova Scotia" http://maybank.tripod.com/BSNS.htm White's Lake, Nova Scotia, Canada --=====================_30748109==.ALT Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" <html> <body> Hi All;<br><br> The Nova Scotia Bird Society is auctioning off the nature library of the late Eric Cooke, courtesy of his estate.
